I miss her. God, I miss her. I didn't think I would this much, or this fast.

This is going to be an interesting week. So far, my self-control can take it. Hopefully that will remain the case.

She needs me on a platonic level only right now. I won't cross the line. I guess this is a chance for me to prove I'm really as good as I think I am.

I think I know who this describes, too. )

The sexual orientation one had... really boring questions.

I'm settling in well at the Club, I think. I've only met a few people so far. They seem interesting.

I'm a little concerned about an undercurrent of tension and hostility I've been finding in some of the online posts I've read others making. There seems to be more rivalry than I'm used to. It's a very different feeling from Baton Rouge, but hopefully I'll adjust.

The clinic has been set up to my liking, though, so I can relax about that. And I really should get better acquainted with the other members. Maybe tonight's a good night for that.

Henri Toulon was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He's 38 years old, and a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine. After his graduation, he returned to Louisiana to practice pediatric medicine in the small town of Jarreau.

His practice took two awful hits, though, that eventually forced him to declare bankruptcy and relocate. The first was in 2005, when Hurricane Katrina blasted through New Orleans and, to a lesser but still devastating extent, the Baton Rouge area. Things were only really beginning to get back to normal when suddenly he was "outed" by someone with a grudge; his nighttime hobbies were exposed.

In his off-time, Dr. Toulon is a practitioner of BDSM, interested in Domination, Shibari, and discipline. He lives by the concept of "Safe, Sane, and Consensual," and would never dream of Domming anyone underage or Domming a patient. But that didn't stop his reputation in the small town from being destroyed, and from all of his patients' parents abandoning his practice for other doctors. He attempted to work in a nearby hospital, but eventually had to give up on the idea of keeping his practice afloat in that region.

Deciding to make a clean break with the past, Henri moved to New York City and has begun to rebuild his life. He's a very private man these days, and very guarded about himself, and doesn't venture out of the Club often, both working and playing there and generally avoiding much contact with the "vanilla" world.

Sexually, Henri is strictly heterosexual, although he's willing to dominate other men in platonic settings, if asked. He has a strong Deep-South drawl that sometimes fools people into thinking he's a country hick, but in fact he has a very sharp mind and graduated in the top percent of his class. At the moment, when he's not working or playing in the Club, he's working on getting certifications in new medical specialties, since his days as a pediatrician are over; he's concentrating on specialties that will be most useful to the Club, in terms of the conditions and injuries he's most likely to end up treating there.
